FAYETTEVILLE -- Police arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery that happened Thursday on West Sunbridge Drive. Police are searching for another suspect who remained at large Friday.

Police arrested Julio Salazar Gonzalez Jr., 34, late Thursday at his home at 830 Betty Jo Drive on a preliminary charge of aggravated robbery and engaging in criminal group activity.

A man said he was robbed while walking down the road at the Greens Apartments, according to a police report. The man told police a vehicle with three men pulled up beside him. Two men, one with a gun and the other with a knife, got out and forced him into the back seat of the vehicle where they searched him while holding a gun to his cheek, according to the report. The men took several items, including a computer bag, and forced the man out of the vehicle several blocks later.

The man identified Gonzalez, who has distinctive facial tattoos, as the one who brandished a knife during the robbery.

The man identified Joseph Derrick Coker, 27, as the man who brandished a handgun, according to the report.

Stormy Lane, a woman who lives at the same address given by Gonzalez, was arrested Thursday in connection with a parole violation. Lane was being held Friday in the Washington County jail with no bond set.
