Arkansas opens SEC Tournament on Thursday

With its loss to Alabama Saturday, Arkansas earned the five-seed in the SEC Tournament that begins next week in Atlanta.

The Razorbacks will play the winner of the South Carolina and Auburn game, which will be played Wednesday at 6 p.m. central time.

Earlier this season, Arkansas beat the Tigers 86-67 and the Gamecocks 71-64. Both games were played in Fayetteville.

South Carolina enters the SEC Tournament with an 11-19 record and the No. 13 seed, while Auburn enters with a 13-15 record and the No. 12 seed.

Arkansas' first game will begin 25 minutes after the Missouri-Texas A&M game at noon Thursday.

If the Razorbacks win, they will advance to the quarterfinals to play fourth-seed Tennessee.
