DOVER - Authorities said Saturday that one man was killed and another was charged with first-degree murder in a Pope County shooting.

Officials identified the victim as 30-year-old Josh Garner of Faulkner County. Sheriff Aaron Duvall said deputies were called to an address in Dover about 9 a.m. Saturday.

Duvall said two people were taken into custody. One of them was charged in the slaying. The sheriff didn’t release names of the people who were held Saturday. He said the investigation was continuing.
