1 Killed In Rogers Wreck

One man died and two others were transported to the hospital after a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 540 on Sunday afternoon.

Arkansas State Police confirmed one person died but no more information was available Sunday.

The Rogers Fire Department responded at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday after a vehicle traveling southbound between exits 81 and 82 went over a guardrail and landed upside-down next to a creek. The man who died at the scene was ejected from the vehicle, Fire Chief Tom Jenkins said.

Two people were transported to Mercy Hospital. One person was listed in serious condition; the other was stable, Jenkins said.

The ages and names of the people involved in the accident were not available Sunday.
