GOP Doesn't Need Liberal Members

Saturday, March 1, 2014

I was reading Bass Trumbo's article (Feb. 16, "A Few Points Of Strategy For The Republican Party"). First may I say ol' Bass fits right in with the Democratic wing of the Republican party. Bass mentions the Koch brothers as the billionaires behind the Republicans. Why doesn't Bass ever mention George Soros and Bill and Melinda Gates, plus all the liberals in Hollywood supporting and throwing millions at the Democrat Party?

Then he tells us we need to support former Gov. Mike Huckabee and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, two very nice men, but let's face it, both are one step shy of being Democrats. Just look at their policies.

Then ol' Bass still thinks we as conservatives don't like "Der Fuhrer " Barack Obama because he's black. Did Bass forget how many conservatives want Dr. Ben Carson to run for president. Isn't he black? Or does Bass not like him because he's not half white?

Ol' Bass tells us to raise the minimum wage. How much should we raise it to? Should it be $10, $15? How about $20? Better yet, every worker earns $100,000 a year. Would that take care of income inequality? No, it wouldn't because a few would still be multi-billionaires, like Ol' George and Bill.

Then Ol' Bass says stay away from the real true conservatives like Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin and the others who love the Constitution and what it stands for, and are Christians who hold to their Christian values. ... (They weren't) taught by everyone around them to hate the Constitution and to need to fundamentally change America like "Der Fuhrer " Barack Obama, the one Bass adores. After all, Barack doesn't need the Constitution. Remember, he has a pen and a phone and he can do what he wants with or without congressional approval.

Why do we need the advice of Bass Trumbo when we already have Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, John McCain and many of our elected officials in Congress, some of whom we voted for just two years ago and are up for re-election this year.

I won't mention a name, but he used to be the mayor of Rogers.

Bass may be a nice guy, but when it comes to advice to political parties, conservatives don't need his help. We already have enough who think like him. So keep helping your liberal, left Democrats, thank you.
