Har-Ber coach Scott Bowlin paid tribute to his eight seniors by starting five and bringing three others quickly off the bench. Har-Ber fell behind 11-3 before receiving a lift from Curtis, a little-used forward who made consecutive 3-pointers to end the first quarter.

Curtis added two more 3-pointers in the second half for Har-Ber (12-14, 4-10), which ended a six-game losing streak.

"Marcel played extremely well," Bowlin said of Curtis, who was a manager for the team last season. "(He) makes me look sort of crazy that I didn't use him more during the year. But he was a team player the whole year. He didn't fuss or gripe and I'm grateful for all of those guys, those seniors."

Three-pointers flowed throughout the night as Har-Ber made 15 3-pointers and Rogers hit 14. Brandon Buccheri hit six 3-pointers and scored 22 points for Har-Ber, which had its highest-scoring night of the season.

Zach Street finished with 35 points and Hunter Hill 21 for Rogers (6-19, 0-14).

Har-Ber went ahead in the second quarter after junior Mason Cline and sophomore JP Brandon entered the game. Cline hit two 3-pointers and fed Brandon for a slam dunk to put the Wildcats ahead 27-22.

Rogers kept the game close for two quarters behind the play of Street, who made a reverse layup to cut the Har-Ber lead to 33-30 at halftime. Buccheri, Cline and Curtis all hit 3-pointers in the third quarter when Har-Ber outscored the Mounties 28-15.

"They came out and stung us at the beginning of the third quarter," Rogers coach Wayne Herren said. "We never recovered from it. After a certain point, it became who can score the most."
