Fayetteville Man Arrested In Connection With Stealing, Selling Lawn Equipment

FAYETTEVILLE -- Ryan Thomas Langley was arrested Monday in connection with a series of residential burglaries and break-ins this month in Fayetteville and Springdale.

Langley, 26, of 549 N. Scottsdale Drive, Apt. 11, in Fayetteville, was arrested in connection with two counts of residential burglary, theft of property and breaking or entering a vehicle, according to a Fayetteville Police arrest report.

More than $2,000 in yard equipment was reported stolen from six home and sold at a pawn shop, according to the report.

Two string trimmers, a backpack blower, an edger and a miter saw were among the items stolen.

The burglaries occurred throughout Fayetteville at 3290 Picadilly Lane, 1735 S. River Meadows Drive, 846 Hoddle Place, 2789 N. Signet Place, 660 Timeless Drive, and 1800 S. Stirman Drive. The first theft was reported June 3.

Langley also was arrested by Springdale Police in connection with residential burglary and theft of property for a similar theft of a string trimmer and a grass blower. The items were reported stolen from 8148 Anna Maria Ave. in Springdale.

In an interview with Springdale Police at the Fayetteville Police Department, Langley said he sold the items for $185 at Payday Pawn in Springdale, according to an arrest report. Langley told officers he stole the items to sell to support a $300-a-day oxycodone habit, according to the report.

Langley is being held in the Washington County Detention Center. No bond has been set.
