Florida man faces child-rape charges

A Florida man staying with friends in Lonoke County was arrested Sunday after investigators learned that he had routinely been sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl, sheriff's office officials said Monday.

Henry Aber, 73, was arrested and charged with four counts of rape after investigators were called to a Butlerville home and learned that the unidentified girl had been victimized.

Lonoke County sheriff's office spokesman Lt. James Kulesa said Aber was a friend of the victim's family and had been staying with them for some time.

According to Kulesa, the victim's mother's boyfriend walked in on Aber during the act, and after further investigation, detectives determined that the rapes had been going on for several weeks.

No other details from the investigation were available Monday afternoon.

Aber remained in the Lonoke County jail Monday night.
