Woman Arrested In Connection With Walmart Altercation

FAYETTEVILLE — Police arrested the woman who was involved in an altercation at Walmart and then fled Sunday.

Tiara Clark, 22, of 524 S. Willow Ave. was arrested late Wednesday in connection with robbery, first-degree endangerment of the welfare of a minor and three counts of battery, according to an arrest report.

A store employee stopped Clark in the store to question her about shoplifting. She fled from the loss prevention office and pushed an employee, causing a 3-year-old in a grocery cart to fall to the floor and hit his head, and then head-butted another employee, according to the report.

Clark left the store with $35.13 of items: two marbles, watermelon, fruit roll-ups, pie, Powerade, dog food and a Hulk figurine, said Sgt. Craig Stout, public information officer at Fayetteville Police Department.

Clark’s mother, Karen Clark, was arrested in the matter on misdemeanor charges. She was arrested Sunday and released later that day on bond, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
