Museum, Bentonville Library Partner For Storytime

BENTONVILLE -- The Museum of Native American History and the public library will offer a preschool story time at the museum the third Friday of each month this summer.

The first story time will begin at 10:30 a.m. today in the museum's Great Room, according to a news release. The museum is at 202 S.W. O St.

Today's event will focus on the woolly mammoth. Attendees will see "Tusker," the mammoth skeleton at the museum's entrance, and experience three books: "Can I Bring Woolly to the Library, Miss Reeder?" by Lois G. Grambling, "Hot, Hot, Hot" by Neal Layton and "Mammoth and Me" by Algy Craig Hall.

The July 18 story time will focus on pottery. The book selection will include "When Clay Sings" by Byrd Baylor, "The Pot That Juan Built" by N. Andrews-Goebel and "Children of Clay: A Family of Pueblo Potters" by Rina Swentzell.

The Aug. 15 story time will focus on "living long ago." The book selection will include "The First Dog" by Jan Brett, "Me Hungry" by Jeremy Tankard and "Kali's Story" by Robert Pickering.

Each session starts at 10:30 a.m.
