— Jeff Conaway, a former offensive coordinator at Shiloh Christian, was named Tuesday as the Saints’ new head football coach.

Conaway replaces former coach Josh Floyd, who was hired two weeks ago as the new football coach at Hewitt-Trussville, Ala.

Conaway has been the head coach at Greene County Tech in Northeast Arkansas, where he compiled a 26-37 record, including 2-8 last season. The Eagles earned two playoff appearances in Conaway’s six seasons.

“After an exhaustive search, the leaders at Shiloh are convinced that Jeff Conaway is the right fit and has come to us at just the right time to lead Shiloh Christian football and the Shiloh athletic programs as a whole,” Ben Mayes, President of Shiloh Christian School, said in a news release issued Tuesday morning.

Conaway will have to replace two assistant coaches as offensive coordinator Austin Tucker and defensive coordinator Adam Caine will be joining Floyd at his new school, it was announced Monday.

A reception to introduce Conaway and his family will be held at 6 p.m. today.
