A Gravette man was sentenced to 15 years in prison after admitting to sexually assaulting two girls.

Gary Mark, 45, pleaded guilty Monday to four counts of sexual assault in the second degree, a Class B felony punishable with a prison sentence ranging from five to 20 years.

The plea was under an agreement Mark’s attorney, Scott McElveen, reached with Stuart Cerley, chief deputy prosecutor.

Mark was arrested Sept. 19, 2013.

The arrest came after the girls disclosed to their pastor that Mark had inappropriately touched them. One of the girls said Marks had first touched her when she was in the fourth grade, according to court documents.

Circuit Judge Robin Green accepted Mark guilty pleas and the plea agreement.

Mark was sentenced to 15 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. He was given credit for the 271 days he spent in the Benton County Jail awaiting trial.
