Beschta announced as new coach at JBU

— John Brown University announced Jason Beschta as its new men's basketball head coach Tuesday.

Beschta will take over a program that went 21-11 overall and 10-10 in the Sooner Athletic Conference last season.

Before taking the John Brown job, Beschta was the head coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan, a NAIA Division II school in Bartlesville, Okla., where he accumulated a 62-36 overall record and 32-12 conference record in three seasons.

He replaces Clark Sheehy, who became the head coach at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Mo., last month.
