FAYETTEVILLE -- A man was in jail Friday in connection with shots fired Thursday afternoon on Valencia Avenue.

Jeshun Williams, 24, of 910 S. Erika Ave. was arrested in connection with aggravated assault, simultaneous possession of drugs and a pistol, possession of cocaine and felon in possession of a firearm.

Police investigated a report of aggravated assault Wednesday at 2730 S. Valencia Ave., according to a preliminary arrest report. A woman said Williams came to her home looking for Julienne Fisher. The woman said he wasn't home, and Williams told her he would find and kill him, according to the report.

The next day, Fisher approached Williams, who was sitting in a white Ford Crown Victoria across the street from Fisher's home. Williams got out of his car and held a gun at his side, according to the report. Fisher went back inside, and Williams got back into his car and drove away. Williams fired one gunshot in the air as he drove around the corner at 3:50 p.m., according to the report.

Police found Williams a short time later at his home. At Williams' duplex, police found more than 11 grams of cocaine, one digital scale and the pistol Fisher described.

Netara Vernon, Williams' roommate, was arrested in connection with possession of cocaine with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm.

Williams and Vernon were being held without bond at the Washington County Detention Center.
