Money Manners

DEAR JEANNE & LEONARD: Do I really have to buy dinner for my former boss? After college, I worked for two years at a small consulting firm in Los Angeles. While there, I applied to a number of master of business administration programs and asked my boss, as well as two of my college professors, to write letters of recommendation for me. Long story short, I was admitted to a first-tier school in the Northeast, and I'm now about to graduate.

Feeding the children

The Fayetteville School District’s USDA Seamless Summer feeding program provides free lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday from June 11 to Aug. 2 to all children up to age 18 — no application or registration required. The program is moving this year from Owl Creek Elementary School to Holt Middle School.
