Deputies responded about 10 p.m. to the 4700 block of West Hensley Road, where a pickup had crashed. Reddie Robert Stanley, 24, and Chloe Jolus, 36, were taken to UAMS Medical Center, where Jolus was pronounced dead.

Witnesses told deputies that a third person in the pickup ran away before emergency personnel arrived, according to the sheriff's office. Late Tuesday afternoon, sheriff's office spokesman Lt. Carl Minden reported that the third suspect, an unidentified white man, had been arrested and was being treated at an area hospital.

The surviving suspects face charges in a home invasion at 3300 W. Hensley Road that occurred minutes before the crash.

Havus Spann, 77, told investigators that a woman knocked on his door and said her vehicle had broken down, according to an incident report. When Spann opened the door, two men reportedly forced their way inside, knocked him down and attacked him with pepper spray before taking his cellphone and wallet. The wallet contained $400.

Deputies took Spann to the scene of the crash, where he identified the mangled pickup as the vehicle driven by his attackers. He also identified Jolus and Stanley as two of the robbers, the sheriff's office reported.

Deputies reported finding Spann's wallet in the pickup, which crashed slightly less than 1 mile from Spann's home.
