Police responded to U.S. Pizza Co., 3324 Pike Ave., where Dadrian Ellis told officers that he and another man had been unloading a delivery truck when two other men wearing hooded sweatshirts approached them. Ellis told officers that he fell down while trying to run away, and that’s when a man in a blue hoodie pointed a gun at him, searched his pockets and took his wallet, according to the report.

The men fled. Soon afterward, police received reports of a blue Chevy Malibu without working tail lights being driven erratically on West 35th Street in the area of the robbery. Officers followed the car to 3812 Hillside Drive off West 38th Street, where a man in a blue hoodie got out of the car and began running.

That man, later identified as Steve Alvin Adams, 24, was arrested about 3:34 a.m. after a brief foot chase. Officers reported finding Ellis’ wallet in Adams’ possession.

Adams, a convicted felon last known to reside at 3409 W. 14th St. in Little Rock, was charged with aggravated robbery, fleeing and possession of a firearm by certain persons. He was being held in lieu of bond at the Pulaski County jail late Monday.
