Jesse Marie Davis became the bride of Kyle James Crossland at 6 pm. Saturday, May 31, at the bride's family home. Judge Edgar R. Thompson of Austin, grandfather of the bride, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Barbie and Scott Merrick of Austin and the late Wesley Davis. Her grandparents are Judge Edgar and the late Shirley Thompson of Austin, Janet Hill of Wiley, Texas, and Ronnie D. Davis of Paris.

The groom is the son of Caren and James Crossland, 4305 Longtree Cove. He is the grandson of Barbara and William B. Caruthers and Gloria Crossland, all of Little Rock.

Vows were exchanged at a wedding arch on a point overlooking a lake. Arrangements included baby's breath, hydrangeas, daises and peach roses.

Given in marriage by her mother and stepfather, the bride wore a lace mermaid-style gown. The bodice had a sweetheart neckline and a rhinestone belt at the waist. She carried a bouquet of white peonies, peach roses, Queen Anne's lace and seeded eucalyptus.

Bridesmaids were Jordan Merrick of Austin, sister of the bride; Jocelyn Pendergist of Conway, cousin of the bride; and Laken Koonce of Conway. They wore sleeveless cocktail dresses by Alfred Sung with large bows at the low backs. They carried bouquets of white hydrangeas and baby's breath.

Serving as flower girl and ring bearer was retired Col. Patricia Gustafson of Cheyenne, Wyo., aunt of the bride.

Groomsmen were Jim Manny and Will Crossland, brother of the groom, both of Little Rock; and the father of the groom. Guests were seated by Trent Tompkins of Cabot; and Westley Kirtley, Jordan Brown and Davis Cain, all of Little Rock.

An outdoor reception on the property, which has been in the family eight generations, followed the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and has a bachelor's degree in journalism. She is a Realtor at Crye-Leike Realtors.

The groom is a graduate of Arkansas State University at Jonesboro, and has a bachelor's degree in biology. He is vice president of Chef Shuttle, a restaurant food delivery company, headquartered in Little Rock.

The couple will make their home in Little Rock after a honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
