FAYETTEVILLE -- Washington County Clerk Becky Lewallen is accepting filings for municipal elections until noon Aug. 15. Some city clerks also accept the paperwork, but it must reach the county by noon. Filings require providing some personal information and a petition of 10 or 30 names, depending on the city.
