Murder suspect arrested at mother's Benton County home

Benton County sheriff's deputies apprehended a man wanted in connection the killing of his father-in-law in Oklahoma.

James Douglas Manken was arrested Wednesday night at his mother's residence in Cherokee City, according to Gary Perkinson, an agent with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations.

Manken, 40, of Watts, Okla. was booked at 11:33 p.m. Wednesday into the Benton County Jail, according to the jail's website. He was arrested in connection with murder in the first degree.

His arrest is in connection with the death of Wayne Lee Wennerholm. His body was found July 13 in his Adair County, Okla. home.

Perkinson said Manken's wife, Janice, was previously arrested on suspicion of being an accomplice to murder.

Wennerholm was Janice Manken's father, according to court documents.
