Finch files to lead Cammack Village

A Cammack Village alderman filed Wednesday to run for mayor.

Ward 1, Position 1 Alderman Patricia Finch filed to run for mayor in the Nov. 4 general election.

"I've been a member of the Cammack Village City Council for six years, and I just felt like it was time for me to take on a different type of leadership position," Finch said Wednesday.

Current Cammack Village Mayor Harry Light, in that position since 1995, has not yet filed for re-election. The mayor serves a four-year term and is paid $6,000 annually.

Cammack Village City Council aldermen serve two-year positions and receive an $1,800 yearly stipend.

The filing period for municipal candidates in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Maumelle and Cammack Village for the Nov. 4 election runs through noon on Aug. 15.
