FAYETTEVILLE -- Residents are invited to a tour Saturday of the paved trail around Lake Fayetteville.
The tour, led by Paul Becker, city finance director, will begin at 9 a.m. at the pavilion in Veterans Memorial Park, 4451 N. Vantage Drive, according to a news release.
Participants will walk about 3.2 miles to the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks and back. The paved loop around Lake Fayetteville is nearly 5.5 miles. It's one of the city's most popular trails.
Saturday's event is the fourth and final trail tour led by city administrators and department heads this year. The tours are intended to give residents an opportunity to be active and learn about segments of the city's 26-mile multiuse trail system.
Water will be provided at Saturday's tour.
