Bentonville Library Opens Vaudeville Exhibit

BENTONVILLE -- Beatrice Nilsson Carney will speak about the library's new "Vaudeville" exhibit at the Friends of the Bentonville Library's meeting at 6 p.m. Monday.

The event is free, open to the public and will be in the Fireplace Room, according to a news release.

The exhibit presents a variety of artifacts from the vaudeville era alongside photographs, articles and theater posters.

It's on loan from Carney, presenting memorabilia and her family's history in the vaudeville theater. Theater acts on her mother's side included Hayes and Wynne, a song, dance and comedy show. On her father's side was Nilsson's Aerial Ballet, a show in which the dancers were suspended from high wires.

The exhibit is in the Fireplace Room.
