What About Korean Veterans and Families?
I noticed the cartoon on the Opinion page, Saturday, June 28, depicting an old vet lamenting to his grandson the loss of war-time buddies. The younger man asked if they were friends from battles on Iwo Jima? or Normandy? or Vietnam?
Sadly, absent from this was the Korean War. How could one forget!
The veterans and the families and friends of those who did not return have never forgotten.
