No Political Solutions In Store

After I read the comics, I turn to the letters we write. I've written my share of letters to the editors; same old, same old for 10-20 years now. Nothing gets done about any of the issues I care about, mostly health issues like chemtrails poisoning us from above, fluoride poisoning our drinking water, vaccinations for babies. Politicians lie to us to get elected then do what they are told to do, like (U.S. Rep. Steve) Womack saying tax all Internet sales. Religionists parade their goodness to us sinners. Scientists require we use curly light bulbs to protect us from global warming. It's all done for money -- money in their pockets taken from our pockets.

Microsoft intends to lay off 18,000. There go my grandkids' jobs, and all the hopes of all the bright young people studying computer sciences at our schools, paid for by loans they'll likely never repay. It's enough to roast your toxic confined animal feeding operation chickens, eh. But soon our nanny government will spin it as a wonderful thing to do to boost the economy.

How about ambulance service for all folks living in Benton County? Perhaps we could have countywide service if we could end the city ambulance empires in Bentonville, Rogers and Siloam Springs? How about high schools named Centerton (city of 10,000) and Bella Vista (city of 26,000) if they weren't served by the Bentonville School District empire? I grew up in Rice Lake, Wis., a city of 5,000 then. We learned reading, writing, arithmetic and some other stuff called social studies, not how to have sex a dozen different ways.

C'mon. There'll be no political solutions. Our problems are spiritual.
