Lincoln Man Arrested In Connection With Rape

LINCOLN -- Police said they found a man having sex with an unconscious woman Saturday afternoon.

Keith Blanchard, 45, of 204 E. Park St., was arrested Saturday in connection with rape and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Washington County Detention Center.

Police said the victim appeared to be drugged. Blanchard denied drugging the woman, according to an arrest report.

Police went on a welfare call to Blanchard's house. No one answered the door, and police looked through a window and saw a couple having sex, but the female appeared to be unconscious, according to the report.

Blanchard admitted to having sex with the victim while she was unconscious and faintly breathing, according to the report.

While in the residence, police saw a light bulb with a straw inside, which is commonly used for smoking methamphetamine, and Tylenol P.M., a sleep aid, all over the floor near the bed, according to the report. Blanchard admitted the drug paraphernalia was his, according to the report.

The victim was unresponsive when she was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center.

Blanchard was being held Monday in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
