Rogers Street Crews Are Removing Limbs Downed In Recent Storm

ROGERS -- Street Department employees are picking up limbs left in the street right of way as quickly as possible, said Frankie Guyll, street superintendent.

The straight line wind that gusted to 60 mph Wednesday snapped limbs from scores of trees.

"We don't have a route or a section of town we're working. As we drive around the city and see a pile of limbs in the right of way, we stop and remove the debris," Guyll said. "I know there some areas of the city still have limbs down. We are doing the best we can to get the debris picked up as soon as possible."

The city recycling center at 2300 N. Arkansas St. will remain open until 2 p.m. today and next Saturday for residents who want to take limbs to the center for disposal, city officials said.
