Cargill Donation To Help Springdale iSchool

SPRINGDALE -- The School District's new iSchool received monetary assistance through a grant last week.

Cargill donated $50,000 to The Jones Center on July 15 to use toward the new school, said Ed Clifford, chief executive officer of the center. The center will house 250 students this year for the school, which aims to help students earn an associate's degree by the time they graduate from high school.

The donated money will go toward physical improvement, Clifford said. Some door locks need to be changed for security, and the Internet connection needs to be upgraded. Some of the money could also be used next year if school officials decide to use the center for a longer period of time.
