Self-Defense Class Scheduled For Saturday In Rogers

ROGERS -- The Rogers Police Department will offer a self-defense course for women Saturday.

The class is research-based, according to the department. Training focuses on increasing awareness of threatening behaviors, avoiding dangerous situations and providing defensive skills.

The class is open to all women, although it may be particularly good for college-bound women, according to the department.

The free class is open to 20 participants. Class hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Police Department, 1905 S. Dixieland Road.
