• Ellen Lundy of Rogers has received an award for academic excellence at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn. Lundy has been placed on the honor roll for the spring 2014 semester. To qualify for this award, students must achieve a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

• Aaron Halwey of Rogers has graduated from Drake University in Des Moines. Hawley received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the College of Business and Public Administration at the conclusion of the spring 2014 semester.

• Bret Arnold of Fayetteville has been named to the spring 2014 honor roll at Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City. To qualify for the honor roll, students must earn a 3.40 grade point average or higher for the spring term. Arnold is a junior psychology major.

• Emery Rakestraw of Siloam Springs has been named to the spring 2014 honor roll at Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City. To qualify for the honor roll, students must earn a 3.40 grade point average or higher for the spring term. Rakestraw is a junior family studies/child development major.

• Marisa Pless of Springdale has been named to the spring 2014 honor roll at Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City. To qualify for the honor roll, students must earn a 3.40 grade point average or higher for the spring term. Pless is a senior accounting major.

• Megan Lankford, a horticulture major in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas, has been selected to receive an American Society for Horticultural Science Scholars Scholarship. Lankford, who is an honors student from Oxford, N.Y., is one of only two recipients of the scholarship award for 2014. She will be recognized at the ASHS Conference in Orlando, Fla., on July 28.

• Danae Chamberlain of Siloam Springs has been selected as a recipient of the President's Gold Scholarship for the 2014-15 academic year. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of class rank and/or SAT/ACT scores. Baylor's top award -- the Regents' Gold Scholarship -- provides National Merit finalists who have indicated Baylor as their university of choice, with a full tuition academic scholarship to Baylor for up to eight semesters of undergraduate study beginning in fall 2014.
