Events Planned At Bentonville Library

BENTONVILLE -- The Yellow Brick Road will lead to the public library as Stevens Puppets presents "The Wizard of Oz."

The family performance will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Walmart Community Room, according to a news release.

Stevens Puppets performs classic children's stories using hand-carved wooden marionettes in front of hand-painted scenery.

Also Thursday, the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission mobile aquarium will give people an up-close view of native fish and turtles from 3 to 5 p.m.

Rod-and-reel combinations can be checked out of the library just as books can, according to the release. The loan period for fishing poles is one week. They are available in the children's department and are sponsored by the Game & Fish Commission.
