Cruelty To Dog Enrages Reader

I have been incensed and having horrible fits of rage when it was reported the terrible abuse a Centerton dog suffered from having fireworks strapped to it, resulting in serious burns and no doubt awful, emotional trauma. I was further disgusted (not strong enough language, or the expletives I would choose to use) that the powers that be are considering giving the poor thing back to the likely suspects who did this, or allowed it to be done by others. Mere words cannot express my disgust that anyone would even think of subjecting a living being to such hideous treatment. They cannot get away with such inhumane treatment.

Employee Helpful with Lost Purse

A special thanks to Matt,

assistant manager of The Fresh Market in Rogers for both the time he served in our military and for his brilliant effort to locate me after I had left my purse at his store.

My husband and I had made several shopping stops, with Fresh Market the first. I usually lock my purse in the car, taking just my wallet into stores. After several stops yesterday, I realized I no longer had my purse. Yes, I panicked, and I had no idea where I had left it. I have to admit, my first thought was it was stolen. About the time I missed it, my husband's cell phone rang. Low and behold, someone shopping at The Fresh Market had found my purse and wallet. Matt took the initiative and used his smarts to locate us. Thank goodness for his background. We quickly returned to the store, picked up my purse, and thanked him in person. What a nice man he appears to be. We are lucky to have him living in Northwest Arkansas and Fresh Market is lucky to have him as the assistant manager.

People in Northwest Arkansas should know how lucky we are to live where people are honest and look out for each other. Thanks also to the person who discovered and returned the purse. Oh yes, when we returned to pick up my purse, we also bought some sausage on sale.
