Jogger finds man hit by passing car

A Little Rock jogger found an unconscious 76-year-old man lying in the grass early Monday morning, according to police.

Taylor Moore told police he was out for a run about 6 a.m. when he reached the 100 block of North Hughes Street and spotted Barry Livingston, who Moore said he thought was drunk and asleep.

Moore called police, who noted that Livingston, who resides at 217 Auburn Dr., had suffered a severe head injury and a broken right leg.

Livingston's injuries are life threatening, and he was taken to St. Vincent in Little Rock where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

According to crash investigators, Livingston was on a run when he was hit by a passing vehicle.

Officers are asking any morning walkers or joggers to call police if they spotted any vehicles in the area of North Hughes Street and Amherst Cove.
