Springdale Police Host Community Movie Night

SPRINGDALE -- The Springdale Police Department will host a free outdoor movie night for the community from 6 to 10 p.m. on Aug. 5.

The event will take place in the park on the west side of The Jones Center and is part of a nationwide program called National Night Out, according to the Police Department's Facebook page. The purpose of the program is to foster trust between police officers and the community.

Police will have a car seat clinic, child identification cards, a bicycle course and semi-organized sports games for children from 6 to 8 p.m. "The Lego Movie" will start at 8:30 p.m. and will be shown on an 18-foot inflatable movie screen.
