Car break-ins leadto couple's arrest

North Little Rock police arrested a couple that purportedly broke into four vehicles during a three-hour period Friday, according to arrest reports.

Officers responded to four restaurants -- Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse, Kanpai Sushi Bar and Cracker Barrel -- to reports of someone smashing car windows and taking credit cards, cash and a car stereo, police said.

About 7:30 p.m. Friday, police stopped a vehicle at 4229 E. McCain Blvd. that matched the description of the car that had been involved in the breaking-and-entering reports. After police saw a glass pipe inside the car, they searched the driver and found several credit cards and identifications that were stolen from the vehicles earlier that day, police said.

Maurice Dickerson, 46, of Memphis was arrested on nine counts of theft by receiving and one count possession of drug paraphernalia. According to arrest reports, Dickerson later admitted to breaking into the four vehicles and using stolen credit cards to purchase gasoline, food and tools. He was charged additionally with four counts of breaking and entering and two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card. Dickerson was booked into the Pulaski County jail on a $78,500 bond.

Dickerson's girlfriend, Lisa Gomez, 49, of Tulsa was arrested on one count of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found hydrocodone pills and a glass pipe in her purse.

Gomez later admitted that she helped Dickerson break into cars by serving as a "lookout," according to an arrest report. Gomez was additionally charged with one count of breaking and entering and booked into the Pulaski County jail on a $20,000 bond.

Dickerson and Gomez were not on the Pulaski County jail inmate roster Saturday.

Police investigatefight inside Chili's

Police are searching for suspects who were involved in a fight that broke out inside Chili's Grill & Bar in Little Rock on Thursday evening, according to a police report.

Quawn Marshall, 36, of Little Rock and his daughter, Shaquawn Banks of Benton, were at Chili's, 10700 N. Rodney Parham Road, celebrating Banks' 18th birthday. About 8 p.m., a group of women approached Banks from behind, pulled her hair and hit her repeatedly, Marshall told police. Marshall broke up the fight by pushing the women, according to the report.

Neither Marshall nor Banks knew the women, police said. A description of the women was not available.
