FAYETTEVILLE -- Police arrested a Fayetteville man Saturday after searching for him for four days in connection with prostituting a 16-year-old girl.

Doncouri Wells, 38, of 2103 E. Oaks Drive was arrested early Saturday morning in connection with first-degree promoting prostitution, possession of drug paraphernalia and a parole violation.

His wife, Sherwanda Wells was arrested Wednesday in connection with first-degree promoting prostitution, after posting an advertisement for the teen on a website called Backpage.com. She was released early the next morning. The relationship between the couple and the teen isn't known.

The girl was found to have several ads for prostitution on the site, according to arrest reports.

Both Wellses had user names posting ads, police said. Both admitted using their credit card to post the ads.

The couple said they were helping the teen post the ads online, according to the reports.

Doncouri Wells' live-in uncle, Gilroy Wells Jr., 58, was arrested the same day in connection with possession of methamphetamine, after jailers found the drug in his right sock, according to an arrest report.

When questioned about the drug, Gilroy Wells said, "Looks like meth or crack," and said the drug was in his sock for several months, according to the reports.

Doncouri Wells was being held Saturday in the Washington County Detention Center without bond.
