A 48-year-old Springdale man died Wednesday night after his Jeep veered off the road and overturned, Arkansas State Police said.

It happened about 10 p.m. as Robin L. Bartlett drove a 1976 Jeep west through a right-hand curve on Natural Walk Road near War Eagle Blacktop Road in Springdale.

Police say Bartlett crossed into the eastbound lanes and then "overcorrected," sending the Jeep off the road. It then overturned.

Bartlett died from unspecified injuries.

The death and three others Wednesday raised to 217 the number of people killed in vehicle crashes in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
