Public Viewpoint: Nation Has Problems Beyond 'Der Fuhrer'

Seriously what is wrong with America?

About a month ago, Der Fuhrer Obama got with his Taliban friends and traded five generals for one deserter and we're supposed to say good job, Barry, or hail King Obama. I just wonder if Bergdahl isn't an Al Qaeda/Taliban plant in America now?

And we still have the liberals/Democrats attacking businesses who are defending their First Amendment right by refusing to pay for abortions because it goes against the owner's religion. I'd like to see the same liberal Democrats go into a Muslim-run deli and order a ham sandwich or pulled pork. I bet that'd go over real well.

We're going deeper in debt every day and when a conservative says to cut spending, all we hear is conservative Republicans want your kids to starve, go without an education, not get to see a doctor and let's not forget just plain kill off the elderly and illegal immigrants.

Let's not forget six years ago everyone was screaming (to) impeach Bush because of $3.50-$4 a gallon for gas because he was in bed with Big Oil. Now we're happy to see $3.20 a gallon and just say "Oh well. we need the gas." What can we do about it? After all, Obama has to play golf in Hawaii this weekend so he's real busy and Joe Biden is ... well, let's just say confused. Maybe when John ("you know, I served in Vietnam") Kerry gets back from his world tour he can do something. Unless, of course, he's planning another attempt at president. I mean no disrespect to those who had to go to Vietnam; as a veteran from the Gulf War, my hat's off to all who have served and are still serving honorably. We can never thank you enough.

Now for my last item. I wrote about this last year so I'll keep it short. Our Founding Fathers fought for and many died during the battle for our independence. We just celebrated 238 years of independence from England. Yet no one says "happy Independence Day" or "what are you doing for Independence Day?" It's just "happy Fourth of July or just

happy Fourth." Even the stores have a Big 4th of July Sale! (Starting the last week of June)

I'm only 47 but I still remember Independence Day celebrations and even an Independence Day parade. Even the stores celebrated Independence Day; they were closed so workers could be with family and friends and enjoy the fireworks held on Independence Day (not July 3 like Rogers). We even stood and placed our hand over our hearts ( some even saluted) for the playing of "The National Anthem" before the fireworks.

So I ask: Really, what happened to America, and will we ever get her back?
