FAYETTEVILLE -- The "flyover," which opened to traffic Wednesday, will be closed overnight this week as workers apply a final coat of paint on the bridge's piers and parapet walls.
The bridge will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday morning, according to a city news release.
According to City Engineer Chris Brown, the contractor for the project, Emery Sapp & Sons of Columbia, Mo., will have to demobilize equipment and reseed the grassy median on College Avenue before the project is complete.
The bridge connects northbound College Avenue to the Fulbright Expressway and streets south of the Northwest Arkansas Mall.
