Beaver Lake Cleanup Set For Saturday

Volunteers are needed for Saturday's cleanup of Beaver Lake, being held in conjunction with Lake Appreciation Month.

Volunteers are invited to help either by walking along the shoreline or by bringing kayaks and canoes to scout the shoreline. Individuals with nonmotorized boats will caravan to selected access sites in Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area for cleanup.

A limited number of park kayaks will be available, according to a news release. Individuals who would like to use park boats should inquire at 479-789-5007.

All volunteers are asked to register at the park's Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Saturday to receive assignments, gloves, and trash bags. Cleanup efforts will last until noon, followed by a free lunch and raffle prize giveaway.
