Kaytlyn Suzanne Kennedy and Shelby Michael Richard were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 28, in Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. The Revs. Britt Skarda and Lynn Lindsey officiated.

Parents of the bride are Susan and Jeff Martin of New York and Beckie and Selby Kennedy, 8511 Ranch Blvd. She is the granddaughter of Suzanne and the late Thomas Rhea Jr. of Somerville, Tenn., and Bill and the late Beverly Kennedy of Hot Springs.

Susanne and Stephen Richard of Lake Charles, La., are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Anna Mae and Rene Richard of Crowley, La.

The chancel held an elevated arrangement of ivory hydrangeas, pink peonies and garden roses. Music was by organist Donald VerKuilen and soloist Ken Weatherford. Crucifer was Ashleigh Westerman of Maumelle and program and guest book attendants were JaneAnne Halter and Helen Halter of Springfield, Mo., cousins of the bride.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown with a sweetheart neckline and an illusion overlay embellished with beaded Alencon lace. She carried a bouquet of pink garden roses and peonies and ivory hydrangeas.

Hannah Kennedy of Little Rock was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Erica Campbell of Tyler, Texas; Larissa Glover of Benton; Wanecia Swait of Plano, Texas; Lindsey Briscoe of Terre Haute, Ind.; and Lauren Brown of Conway. They wore one-shoulder gowns of watermelon-colored chiffon and carried tailored bouquets of white hydrangeas.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Zoey Richard of Sulphur, La., niece of the groom, and Hudson Kindy of Benton.

Kevin Alford of Lake Charles was best man. Groomsmen were John Edenfield, Brandon Pelt, Daniel Greenwell and Justin East, all of Lake Charles, and William Kennedy of Little Rock, brother of the bride.

A reception at Chenal Country Club followed the ceremony. Guest tables covered in ivory linens and pistachio-colored runners held tall arrangements or low centerpieces of ivory hydrangeas, pink peonies and garden roses.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, where she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma. She taught pre-kindergarten at Robinson Elementary in Little Rock and will be teaching kindergarten at Lessie Moore Elementary in Pineville, La., in the fall.

The groom is a graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles, and has a bachelor's degree in natural resource conservation management with a concentration in wildlife management. He is an inland fisheries biologist with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in Pineville.

The couple will make their home in Pineville after a wedding trip to Mexico.
