Police spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen said Special Weapons and Tactics officers were executing a "high risk" search and seizure warrant at 2706 S. Washington St., the home of Patrick Johnson. About 9 p.m., as police attempted to enter the home, Johnson fired one shot at officers, police said.

Allen said that officer Scott Miles, a five-year Little Rock police veteran, fired one shot in return. No injuries were reported.

Police recovered about 0.06 ounce of marijuana, about 0.02 ounce of crack cocaine, one Ecstasy pill, one oxycodone pill, a "plastic smoking device" and a .357-caliber revolver from Johnson's home, according to an arrest report.

Johnson, 43, was additionally charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms; maintaining a drug premises near a drug-free zone; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a firearm by certain persons and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.

He was being held in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $250,000 bond late Wednesday.

Allen did not immediately respond to an email asking whether Miles fired at a suspect under similar circumstances two months ago. Police reported April 28 that three officers, one of whom was identified as Scott Miles, exchanged gunfire with a suspect while serving an arrest warrant at 12 Valley Drive north of Mabelvale Cutoff Road.

No injuries were reported. That suspect was also charged with multiple counts of attempted capital murder.

In April shot in leg in LR, teen jailed

A teenage boy was arrested Wednesday in an April shooting that injured one person in Little Rock.

On April 12, officers responded about 5:14 p.m. to West 14th and Elm streets, where 18-year-old Tevin Mills had been shot in the leg. Mills told investigators that two suspects he knew as "Lil Marquies" and "CD" had tried to rob him at gunpoint, according to police. "Lil Marquies" reportedly shot Mills after he refused to hand over his wallet and cellphone.

Marquies Humphrey, 16, was arrested at 3425 Lamar St. shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday in the shooting. He was charged as an adult with first-degree battery and aggravated robbery.

Humphrey was being held in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of bond late Wednesday.

It was unknown if other arrests had been made in the case.

Shot woman faces charge of robbery

Jacksonville police officials said that a woman showed up at a home Wednesday with an air gun and tried to rob a man only to get shot in the leg herself.

Officers took a report about 11:24 a.m. that a woman was spotted running along Faulkner Street with a gunshot wound, and officers found her getting out of a car near 180 Pike Ave.

The woman, identified as Celia Hill, 29, of 125 Jaxon St., was taken to a local hospital and released after treatment, only to later be arrested by detectives.

According to arrest reports, Hill showed up at 105 Faulkner St., pulled a BB gun that resembled a Ruger 9mm from her waistband and demanded that Kevin Winston give her $20.

Witnesses told police that Winston handed over the money only to have Hill point the weapon in his face.

The two started to wrestle in the yard, arrest reports said, and the scuffle ended when Winston pulled out a gun of his own and shot Hill in the leg, according to the report.

Hill was charged with aggravated robbery and was being held by Jacksonville police late Wednesday afternoon.

Winston, 22, also faces felony charges, those in regard to being a felon in possession of a firearm and defacing a firearm.

According to officials, Winston had been in touch with detectives and planned on turning himself in, though, by early Wednesday night, he was still at large.
