• Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., has announced students named to the NSU dean's honor roll for the spring 2014 semester. Each semester, NSU recognizes students who have achieved superior academic performance by naming them to this honor roll. Area dean's honor roll students include:

Sarah Sagely, Fayetteville; Steven Feather, Fort Smith; Victoria Giles, Fort Smith; Kerra Jones, Lincoln; Morgan Reed, Lincoln; Autumn Acord, Siloam Springs; Melanie Acord, Siloam Springs; Anna Clausing, Siloam Springs; and Andrew Jenison, Siloam Springs.

• Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia recently announced the names of 365 students who qualified for the Dean's List following the spring 2014 semester. To qualify, a student must complete 12 or more semester hours and attain a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Included on this spring's Dean's List were Jason Rakes, Fayetteville, senior business administration: organizational management; Ashley Riggles, Fayetteville, senior middle school education major; and Caleigh Moyer, Lincoln, sophomore agriculture business major.

• Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., recently named 331 students were named to the 2014 spring Dean's List. The Dean's List recognizes those Westminster students who have shown high academic performance during the past semester. To be included on the Dean's List, a student must have a 3.60 semester grade point average with at least 12 hours completed that semester. Area students receiving this academic honor are Gordon Allison, sophomore, Fayetteville, and Grant Gershner, junior, Springdale.

• Rockhurst University awarded nearly 700 degrees at its 94th annual commencement ceremony May 17 at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo. Rockhurst University is one of 28 Catholic Jesuit universities in the United States. Graduates include Heather Metheny, Fayetteville, master of occupational therapy, occupational therapy; and Azure Risor, Fayetteville, bachelor of science in nursing, nursing accelerated.

• Baylor University in Waco, Texas, conferred degrees on more than 2,300 graduates during spring commencement exercises May 16-17 at the Ferrell Center on the Baylor campus. Baylor University is a private Christian university and a nationally ranked liberal arts institution. Three Bentonville students received degrees: Alexander Lawrence Asbill, bachelor of business administration, finance, marketing, cum laude; Ankur Mahesh Pradhan, bachelor of arts, medical humanities, magna cum laud; and Morgan Taylor Ryan, bachelor of arts, speech communication.

• The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has announced its Dean's List and Honor Roll for the spring semester of the 2013-14 academic year. Those named included Tyler Jerold Steiner, Fayetteville, College of Business Administration Dean's List, senior, Raikes School-actuarial science major; and Robert Dean Korth, Fayetteville, College of Journalism and Mass Communications Dean's List, senior, journalism major.

• Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia named 299 students to the President's List for the spring 2014 semester. To be named to the President's list, a student must compile a 4.0 grade point average and be classified as a full-time student, with a minimum of 12 academic hours. Local students include:

Bentonville: Aaryn Elliott, Jenna Suen and Leah Whitlow.

Cave Springs: Ashleigh Canada.

Fayetteville: Carter Harlan, Chelsea Ariola, Samantha Burgess and Megan Scarbrough.

Lowell: Nathan Gilbert and Hayley Hill.

Rogers: Brynn Alford, Ashley Randels, David Sypult and Emily Weeden.

Siloam Springs: Emily Anderson, Leah Anderson and Jacob Engel.

Springdale: Lauren Bundy, Drew Ervin, Maegan Hodge, Nathan Mardis, Mitchell Richards and Justin Young.

• Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo., conferred 2,381 degrees to students during its three spring commencement ceremonies May 16 at John Q. Hammons Arena. Local students include:

Bentonville: Katie M. Brown, English-BSED and John C. Overstreet, Fashion Merch and Des/Fashion-BS.

Centerton: Taylor J. Homeyer, Psychology-BS, Comm/Interprsnl Comm-BS, Cum Laude in the Honors College; and Hayley G. Hoover, Marketing/Mkt Mgt-BS.

Rogers: Cody A. Baker, Biology-BS, Magna Cum Laude; and Agustin O. Herrera, Management/Int Bus-BS.

Springdale: Hillary D. Boyd, Physical Therapy-DPT; Brooke E. Parsley, Criminology-BS, Cum Laude; and DeAnna N. Stevenson, Athletic Training-BSAT

• Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo., has released its spring 2014 graduate and honor roll lists. Local students include:

Bentonville: Lorenzo Bohl, Doctor of physical therapy

Rogers: Andrew Denefe, Doctor of physical therapy

Centerton: Keeshia DeShields, bachelor of science

Fayetteville: Zachary Dangeau, bachelor of science

• Cody G. Matteri of Springdale has been named to the spring 2014 Dean's Honor Roll at Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kan. Dean's Honor Roll honorees must be full-time degree-seeking students who have earned a minimum of 12 semester hours during the preceding semester and earned a semester grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

• Ashley Schimmel of Rogers was named to the spring 2014 Dean's List for exemplary academic performance at Westminster College in Fulton, Mo. Schimmel is a sophomore at Westminster College. The Dean's List recognizes those Westminster students who have shown high academic performance during the past semester. To be included on the Dean's List, a student must have a 3.60 semester grade point average with at least 12 hours completed that semester.

• Justin Rafiee of Fayetteville was among a record number of graduates presented with diplomas at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell's 2014 commencement exercises May 17 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Ma.

• Mary Scriber of Bentonville has been named to the 2014 spring Dean's List at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must be full-time and have achieved a minimum 3.6 semester and cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

• Samantha Gocke of Fayetteville has been named to the spring 2014 Dean's list at Armstrong Atlantic University in Savannah, Ga. Goche is a sophomore majoring biology. To qualify for the list, students must acheive a GPA of 3.6 or higher.
