A man led police on a 4-mile chase Sunday that ended shortly after his vehicle crashed into the fence of a Little Rock home, police reported.

A Little Rock police officer stopped a black Honda Civic with fake tags about 4:38 p.m. on North Chicot Road near Interstate 30. After a passenger exited the vehicle and walked toward the officer's car, the driver fled north.

The officer pursued the suspect at 55 mph to Greenway Drive and Westmont Circle, where the suspect purportedly exited the vehicle while it was still moving. It rolled across a resident's front yard and struck a fence, according to police.

Fleeing on foot, the suspect jumped over another fence and into a backyard where there were several dogs, according to the report. That's where he surrendered.

No injuries were reported.

Police reported finding two Xanax pills, two smoking pipes and two syringes in the vehicle. One of the syringes purportedly contained methamphetamine.

Shawn Isaacs, 35, was charged with fleeing, careless driving, criminal second-degree mischief, improper use of registration and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He also was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Isaacs was being held in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond late Tuesday.

Police identified the passenger as Brandy Harris-Parker, 39. When she exited Isaacs' car during the traffic stop, she was attempting to distract the officer, according to police. But she left her identification in the vehicle, and it was recovered by police.

No other arrests had been made as of late Tuesday.

On Tuesday, a man was arrested in North Little Rock after he led police on a shorter but faster chase.

Officers stopped a vehicle at 500 Rose Lane after the driver ran a stop sign. As they walked toward the vehicle, the driver took off on Rose Lane and reached speeds of about 100 mph, according to a police report.

Officers reported that the suspect narrowly missed other vehicles while he sped south across U.S. 165 and burst through a gate onto a dirt road. The suspect then drove across a field and crashed into a fence, according to the report.

Jamal Doss, 19, was arrested about 1:45 p.m. and charged with fleeing.

No injuries were reported in the chase, which spanned slightly more than a half-mile. Further details were not available.

Doss was being held at the Pulaski County jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond late Tuesday.
