Motorcyclist killed in crash identified

Police have released the identity of a Little Rock man who died in a crash Monday afternoon.

Little Rock police said Tuesday that Korell Flowers, 31, of 4202 E. 35th St., died shortly after being thrown from his Suzuki motorcycle about 1:20 p.m. Monday.

According to witnesses, Flowers was speeding east in the 5900 block of Sloane Drive when he hit a turning tractor-trailer head on.

Flowers, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver, James Osborne of Beebe, said he was making a left turn from the westbound lanes but didn't see the motorcyclist until he was already halfway through his turn.

Osborne was not injured in the crash.
