The trial is underway for a former University of Arkansas football player facing a murder charge in the death of a friend.
Josh Melton, 33, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Michael Gover, 30, in August 2013.
John Brooks, a crime scene investigator with Fayetteville Police, testified Tuesday morning about blood spatter.
Melton told Fayetteville police the two were drinking at a couple bars before going to Melton's house in Fayetteville, according to the arrest report. Melton and Gover fought. When Melton woke up the next day he found Gover dead and called police, according to the arrest report.
