Arkansas Department Of Community Correction

  • Christopher Lee Jackson, 51, of 24 Sandwick Circle in Bella Vista was arrested Monday in connection with a parole violation. Jackson was being held Monday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.
  • Rodrigo Tonche, 21, of 1922 S. 13th St. in Rogers was arrested Monday in connection with revoke of a suspended sentence or probation. Tonche was being held Monday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

Benton County Sheriff’s Office

  • Geneva Joann Jones, 37, of 229 Joe St. in Farmington was arrested Sunday in connection with a parole violation, possession of drug paraphernalia and shoplifting. Jones was being held Monday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

Fayetteville

  • Megan Banks, 26, of 2596 Fruit Tree Ave. in Springdale was arrested Sunday in connection with possession of drug paraphernalia. Banks was being held Monday in the Washington County Detention Center on $340 bond from a misdemeanor charge.

Rogers

  • Jonathan William McVay, 26, of 800 S. Second St. Apt. 800 E in Decatur was arrested Monday in connection with breaking or entering. McVay was being held Monday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.
  • Shayne Allen Rogers, 46, of 303 E. North St. was arrested Sunday in connection with aggravated assault on a family or household member and domestic battering in the third degree. Rogers was being held Monday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

Springdale

  • Sheldon Allen, 47, of 594 Elm Valley Drive in Elm Springs was arrested Sunday in connection with aggravated assault. Allen was being held Monday in the Washington County Detention Center with no bond set.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office

  • Lesley Sherwin, 41, of 17297 Bethlehem Road in Winslow was arrested Sunday in connection with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, burglary, theft, fraud and several traffic violations. Sherwin was being held Monday in the Washington County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.

  • A caller reported at 2:25 p.m. Friday that a heating and air conditioning unit was stolen from 13588 Gailey Hollow Road.
  • Shonn Jones reported at 5:01 p.m. Sunday a theft from 14541 It’ll Do Road.
  • Elely Sheskin reported at 6:31 p.m. Sunday that firewood was stolen from 12228 Pine Creek Hollow Road.

  • Jeremy Luttrell reported at 12:52 p.m. Saturday a stolen vehicle at 1111 S.W. A St.
  • Jennifer Nemec reported at 1:22 p.m. Saturday a burglary at 403 S.E. F St.
  • Nathan Whatley reported at 3:01 p.m. Sunday a theft at 706 S.E. A St.
  • Martha Wallis reported at 5:50 p.m. Sunday a theft at 1100 N.W. Lowes Ave.
  • Cheyenne Griffin reported at 8:11 p.m. Sunday a robbery at 1000 S.E. Falcon Lane.

Fayetteville

  • Michael Carter reported Monday morning a loaded 9 mm Beretta handgun had been stolen from his truck near 2222 E. Gentle Oaks Lane.
  • A caller reported late Sunday evening a grill had started a small lawn fire near the intersection of South Pinnacle and East Eastpoint drives. The fire dissipated on its own.
  • A Veterans Affairs Police dispatcher and another caller reported gunshots Sunday evening near 1531 N. Woolsey Ave.
  • A caller reported Sunday a scuffle near 2918 N. Gregg Ave. involving a group of five or six people who fought two others.

Rogers

  • A theft was reported Sunday at 2710 S. Rife Medical Lane.
  • A break-in was reported Sunday at 1600 S. 26th Place. Items were reported missing from a vehicle.

FIRES

Rogers

  • Firefighters responded to a grass fire in a front yard Friday at 2301 W. New Hope. Police and a bystander at the scene put out the fire. Cigarette butts were located where the fire started.
  • Firefighters put out a grass fire Saturday at 4114 Willowbend Drive in Lowell.
  • An unauthorized burn was reported at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at 612 S. Crescent St. The resident was told Benton County is under a burn ban and no open flames are allowed. The small fire in the fire pit was extinguished.

Springdale

  • The source of a fire at 10:15 p.m. Saturday at 200 Carter Ave. Apt. 2 was the cook stove. A burner may have been left on to cause the blaze which forced the residents to be housed by the Red Cross.

ACCIDENTS

Rogers

  • A 12-year-old boy suffered head pain and was transported to Mercy Hospital after a vehicle collision at 6:15 p.m. Friday at 931 W. Walnut St.
  • A 70-year-old woman complained of leg pain and was transported to Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville after an accident at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at 1102 W. Walnut St.
  • An 82-year-old woman was transported to Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville after a single-vehicle rollover accident at 4:15 p.m. Saturday at 4200 W. Walnut St. The woman complained of head and hand pain.
  • Several people were transported to Mercy Hospital after an accident Sunday at 22309 E. Arkansas 12. A 12-year-old boy, a 7-year-old boy and a 51-year-old man complained of back pain. A 16-year-old boy complained of knee pain.

Springdale

  • A collision at 1:52 a.m. Monday between a vehicle and a horse led to the demise of the animal. The horse was hit at 1717 Reed Ave. A call at 1:40 a.m. from 1635 E. Arkansas 264 reported the horse was loose in the street. The owner of the horse, when found, requested officers put the animal down. A 15-year old girl passenger who hit her head on the windshield in the accident was checked by firefighters but did not go to the hospital.
