BASKETBALL Golden Suns fall on the road

Southeastern Oklahoma’s Emily Williams scored 27 points and the Savage Storm defeated Arkansas Tech 67-63 Sunday in Durant, Okla.

Cara Neighbors led the Golden Suns (8-8, 4-6) with 15 points while Anna Lea Little had 14 and Danielle Frachiesur had 10.

Wonder Boys lose to Bulldogs

Marshawn Arnold had 21 points, but Urald King had 20 points and 18 rebounds to lead Southeastern Oklahoma State (5-10, 3-7 Great American Conference to a 64-58 victory over Arkansas Tech (11-7, 6-4) on Sunday in Durant, Okla.

Millsaps women down Hendrix

Hendrix College fell 53-48 to Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., on Sunday.

Millaps (10-6, 4-2 Southern Athletic Association) was led by Velvet Johnson, who finished with 18 points, shooting 10 for 10 from the free-throw line.

Hendrix (7-10, 1-5) was led by Taylor Neal, who finished with 18 points and five assists. Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler had 11 points.

Hendrix men top Millsaps

Hendrix’s Colton Primm made a three-point play with five seconds left to give Hendrix College a 57-55 victory over Millsaps College on Sunday in Jackson, Miss.

Primm made a layup before being fouled by Dustin Aubert and made the free throw. Tully Gillgan’s three-pointer at the buzzer was off for Millsaps.

Hendrix (8-9, 2-4 Southern Athletic Association) was led by Primm, who finished with 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting with three assists. Gillgan led Millsaps (3-12, 0-6) with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists.

SWIMMING AND DIVING UALR falls to Rice

UALR lost 127-56 to Rice at the Donaghey Aquatic Center on Sunday despite two victories from Valeriya Teplova.

Teplova won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.62 seconds and was part of the 200-freestyle relay team with Kara Raney, Courtney Coe and Meghan Peterson that won in 1:40.13.

Raney finished second in the 100 freestyle in 54.35. Jinson Kang was third in the 200-individual medley in 2:24.92 and second in the 500 freestyle in 5:18.20.TENNIS Razorbacks lose to Georgia

Arkansas’ women’s tennis team lost all four singles matches and all three doubles matches in a 5-0 loss to No. 4 Georgia in Athens, Ga., on Sunday to suffer its first defeat of the season.

Shannon Hudson lost her first match of the year at No. 2 singles, when she was beaten by 10th-ranked Silvia Garcia 6-1, 6-3.
