FAYETTEVILLE — Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a Springdale man after investigators said he exchanged nude photos with a 16-year-old girl on his cell phone.

Dexter Hamblin, 27, of 1316 S. Crutcher St. in Springdale faces felony charges in connection with computer exploitation of a child and distributing, possessing, viewing child pornography.

A teen girl met Hamblin in October through a cell phone messaging service called Kik, according to an arrest warrant.

Police said Hamblin portrayed himself as a 17-year-old boy and exchanged nude photos with the girl.

Hamblin said he didn’t know the girl was 16, and he didn’t send her any nude photos of himself, the report said.

He was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held on $25,000 bond Thursday.
