Holiday Retirement, a national chain that operates retirement facilities, has 12,000 veterans and surviving spouses living in its facilities. A New York Times article published Dec. 25 misstated the number of veterans and surviving spouses living in those facilities.

A 1976 tsunami in the southern Philippines killed 4,791 people. An article in Nov. 11 editions about Typhoon Haiyan incorrectly reported the tsunami’s death toll, using information from The Associated Press.
